Matthew Ashimolowo (born 17 March 1952 in Nigeria) is the Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in London. His Winning Ways programme is aired daily on Premier Radio (London) and Spirit FM (Amsterdam) and on television in Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, TV Africa, the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) and Europe on The God Channel and Inspirational Network.Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo has been preaching for 27 years, challenging people to succeed and not to wallow in mediocrity. His mandate is to teach people the undiluted word of God and even more importantly the application of the word to their daily walk. Through television, radio, book publications, IGOC and other KICC programs he has been able to share the message of Christ to a countless number of people around the world.
Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo was born to a Muslim family in Kaduna which is in the Northern part of Nigeria. He is the 4th of 5 children and a father who was a military officer. His father's choosen career meant that the family was constantly moved to different parts of Nigeria depending on their father’s assignment. Sadly, Pastor Ashimolowo’s father died in the Biafra war.
At the age of 22 he received Christ as his Lord and savior. He then attended a Bible school in Lagos to further his calling as a minister of the gospel. After Bible school he became an assistant pastor in Foursqaure Gospel church, after which he moved to UK and became leader of KICC with 300 members in a rented hall at Holloway Boys School, North London
